Mack Preventative Maintenance Programs – MP²
Don’t wait until your attachment tells you that it’s down. Mack has the answer to maximize your operation’s productivity. It’s the Mack Preventative Maintenance Program that we call MP².
Based on your usage and application, Mack Manufacturing will develop a MP² program designed to all but ensure that there will be no future unscheduled downtime. Based on your production schedule, we will coordinate the elements of your customized PM program to minimize any workflow disruption.
Once on site, our technicians will service and maintain your fleet of attachments (Mack or otherwise). Whether it’s wear parts or just regular servicing, our team will be in and out quickly.
What Does It Include?
Your PM program includes
- Analyzing fatigued or stress structural areas
- Inspecting and replacing worn bucket lips or grapple teeth
- Examining all bushing and pins
- Testing hydraulic systems, pumps and valves
- Inspecting the integrity of sheaves for wear and bearing conditions (if applicable)
After every PM visit, a report will be provided on the state of your attachment and whether any further work needs to be done and an estimate will be provided.

Train Your Team
Our technicians can work with your team to give them the knowledge and necessary training to keep your attachments at peak performance while meeting your output schedules. We have found over the years that technicians learn best from other techs who have been there and have done the work in the field. They will review the operation’s manual and can help your team set up their own PM program.
